While we can’t see the visitors making it through, their changed
side should score against Leipzig. The Germans have conceded in every European
tie they’ve played, while they’ve seen both teams score in 73% of their
Bundesliga home matches. With that in mind, we see excellent value in backing a
Leipzig win with both teams scoring, which is our second tip here.
German
forward Timo Werner has enjoyed a great 18 months, and he’s continued that form
with 10 league goals in 19 starts. The forward has adapted to European football
well – bar his troubled trip to Turkey. The striker has scored five times in
his last four European ties, including a brace away to Napoli last time out. He
should enjoy taking on a weakened defence, so we’re backing Werner to add to
that good run, as we’re tipping him to score any time.
